Little Darling DearA Poem by Soul FireA Poem that tells a story in about a Father who is a solider and a Mother who is a Marine. This is a lullaby that the Father sings to his newborn daughter.
Hush little Darling,
Don't speak a sound, Mommy's going to watch the lights go down, and if the sun hides today. Momma's going to go to hideaway. If Mommy doesn't leave, Momma's going to go away to sea. Don't worry little darling, dear; Daddy's always going to be here. And If one day I go away. I promise I will come back one day. And If Daddy goes away to war, Don't cry. Daddy misses you more. And if Mommy dies at sea, Please come and get me. And if Daddy dies in war, Please answer the solider at the door. And if we all stay here, Smile my darling, You are loved here.
