I didn't know

A poem about a friendship I used to have,this is how it ended.

Once, you were by my side,what happened,to our friendship? 

IT DIED. 

I didn`t realize,we,us, were dead. 

I do not know what I did.

Why didn't you tell me?

I am as lost as a kid left in a grocery store.

What happened to our friendship?

It burned before it could be saved from the fires that you made.

You lied to me,

Hid from me,

Stopped talking to me.

What did I ever do to you?

All I did was always being there for you!

I took away the blades and razors,

cleaned your wounds.

Cried for you,

and helped you keep it a secret.

But I told a few,

All I wanted was to help you.

Keeping it a secret was a such a burden for me.

Can't you understand?

Don't you see?

You blinded me by lies,

Abused my care.

And when I needed you,

you weren't there.

The poem told a sad story. When we take care of another. Make them strong and able to stand alone. Sad to be left alone when you may need assistance. A sad ending to a excellent poem.
