Broken Fear

I have fallen more than a thousand times,

If only I had that many dimes.

I would be a millionaire.

But don’t stop and stare.

I’m nothing to be feared of,

Nothing to be treasured.

I am just a twisted girl with a broken fear.

Injured and hurt from a thousand hurts, shedding many uncounted tears.

But there’s something that I would like you to hear.

Falling in love is a scary and a beautiful thing.

But be careful my darling, it can sure sting.

Don’t fall too quickly,

Or too hard.

Watch for boulders, that may come crashing down.

If your love, loves you too.

Don’t be afraid to fall.

If they promise to catch you when you fall.

You have one of the most wonderful loves of all.

And if no ones there to catch you,

And you hit the ground.

Pull yourself back up,

Don’t stay down.

And if this love you have doesn’t feel the same,or it doesn't work out,

 don’t be afraid to fall again;

Because next time, you’ll be closer to finding your forever companion and  best friend.

~lies are beautiful illusions and promises are hard to keep~
~truth be told falling in love again can be a scary thing, do you really want to risk having your heart broken again?~
~however, finding your best friend in your lover can be one of the greatest things you discover in life~

I do like this poem. You warn readers about the dangers of love yet still encourage them to pursue it many times throughout their life. While your tone is not necessarily my style, it works for the poem. Good write.
