There is no I in AloneA Poem by Matthew SoliguenNobody needs to be alone.Whenever you feel like you're out there alone, When darkness blinds you, and chills all your bones, You must never worry, there is nothing to fear, The pain of the mind is something only you can hear, So shout! Let me hear about the things that make you worry, You need a friend, don't give up, don't be sorry, There is no such thing as a tree with no leaves, No fish in the sea can live without water to breathe, No rain without clouds, no common without rare, You see everything in life always come at us in pairs, Doubt brings you choice, whether stand up or flee, You show fear either terror, or your bravery, Anger will pull you towards resentment or compassion, Sadness will lead you to happiness, or depression, Life is a choice, but you can't stand alone, The pyramids are built using one of the same stones, The greatest things in life isn't something you find, Love, Happiness, and compassion, all reside in your mind Take my hand, you'll be fine, greatness hides in your bones, In this life, the cruelest torture is to suffer alone, Share me your pain, all the things that you fear, When chaos begins, just know that I'm here, Cry when you need to, there's no weakness or shame, In this life we all break, things don't stay the same, When hardships befalls you, and you feel like there's no tomorrow, Just know there are people willing to share in your sorrow, And when you stand at the brink of despair, Damaged, in doubt, and beyond all repair, Remember, always put sadness on top of the shelf, The only things that keep you from being happy? Yourself.
