Pain

Pain

A Poem by RayLynn

Pain.

That’s all I feel.

My whole life has been a flaming ball of pain and hatred.

18 years I’ve dealt with you and sat silently while you threw your worst at me.

And now that I’ve found my voice, you cower down and play the victim?

Along the way, I’ve learned a few tricks of your trade, and I’m using my knowledge against you.

Don’t surprised when the lioness finally learns to hunt.

I love it! I'm all for people finding some inner strength, (and maybe a little anger), and letting abusers have it full bore.

Nice poem. It is amazing what one can do when he/she reaches the threshold of what he/she can take. Wish this were longer though. Nice poem.
