Life is More

This one is for all those hopeless teenagers out there, I know what it’s like because I used to be one as well.

Whether you’re a middle schooler, high schooler, or a college student, there’s more to hope for beyond what you know.

Right now, it’s dark. The world is gloomy. Life is black and white. The pain, shame, hurt, embarrassment, and hopelessness are swallowing you whole.

But keep going, my darlings.

Life is more than depression and feeling worthless.

Life is more than grades and tests and homework.

Life is more than expectations.

Life is more than low self-esteem caused by abuse.

Life is more than crying yourself to sleep every night.

Life is more than suicide and pain.

Life is more than you could ever imagine; it’s more than anyone bargained for.

Life, simply, is more.
