The Price of Hiding

The Price of Hiding

A Poem by Denise Deas
"

May be disturbing, maybe not.

"

The Price of Hiding by Elon Raelliin Clarke

There was that time

When things were fine

Or so I Thought

To myself

Then I realized

My mask

Was applied

So perfectly

Then one day I fell

And it cracked

I worried everyone would see

The worst inside of me

So I ended

Before I was exposed

I closed my eyes

As I lay in the puddle

Of Liquid Life

Ha. Now no one can see.

This is certainly a well written poem.
More imagery, like in your previous poem Waterfall, would have helped the raw emotions come through.
