Chapter 3

Lunchtime had finally arrived, thank God! My feet wanted to be set free from these beautiful contraptions of death aka high heels. Why didn't I wear combat boots instead? Or at least walk with flats. I strolled through the cafe doors, making my way our usual table and collapsed on the chair.

"EARTHQUAKE!", Josh screamed while scrambling to get under the table.

"Hahaha, very funny Josh," I deadpanned.

He got off the floor, brushing off the dust and bowed, "Thank you, thank you. I really do try my best." He said before sitting down again.

I chuckled at his antics, he's always joking when it comes to me, well I do prank him a lot, so I guess it's his way at payback. I surveyed the cafeteria, wondering if the gang was already here or in a meeting with the principal.

 I caught a glimpse of Cindy and Cedrick in the line, a glance to the right showed me the Henderson twins sitting and flirting with some of the cheerleaders, typical, I scoffed mentally.

I didn't see Nuca or Raiden, they must have been in a meeting with the principal considering Nuca's conditions.

I can't believe that he's here, he's supposed to be in jail by now, why is he here?

"Kris!" I jumped out of my seat nearly falling to the ground, I turn to see Josh smirking at my almost fall.

"Geez, why you so jumpy girl?" Stacey questioned.

"No reason," I said and went back to searching.

"If you're looking for lover boy, he's with the principal talking about housing arrangements for the exchange students," Kelly answered, I moved my gaze to her looking a bit confused before a light bulb went off.

Luke's parents are police officers, so Nuca and the guys would be staying with him. I sighed knowing that there would be some restrictions on the guys especially Nuca.

"Well, hello beautiful, can I say that you are so lovely that it's very distracting," I heard Steve say, I cringed, why would he say that.

The girl chuckled, "Well thank you so much for the cringe-worthy compliment but I didn't come over to get a date." ohhhhh damnnn!

"Oh my gosh, can we be friends 'cause that burn was so awesome," Ally said whilst Steve sulked next to her.

"Sure, I'm Cindy," She answered while sitting down opposite me and gave me a smile.

"So, Kris, Raiden and I will be staying with you for the rest of the year," she said while dipping her fries in some ketchup.

I beamed at her, "really, that's great, we have a lot to catch up on." I said and heard a cough, I turned my attention to my friends, they were confused.

"Sorry guys, Cindy and the other students are from my old school, Cindy was my best friend well no I actually treated you like crap Cindy, and I'm sorry for letting Nuca change me," I told her.

"It's okay Kris, I forgive you, but you were and still are my best friend and we did have awesome times together," she said while placing her hand on top of mines.

"Aww, best friends reuniting," Kelly cooed.

We laughed at her for a while before they asked Cindy questions about me from our childhood and let's just say that they were very embarrassing.

"Oh, did you tell them about the time when she accidentally flashed me during the summer," a deep voice said. My head snapped to it and I saw Raiden placing his tray on the table and taking the seat next to me.

I looked at him, he really changed in three years, a really good change. He was wearing dark blue jeans that fitted him just right, a round neck grey shirt that was loose, but tight around his biceps. I remember how he used to dress before I left, plaid button-up shirts, orange sweaters, beanies and his black glasses, though he didn't need them but complimented his nerd look.

"Kris, Kris, Kristina!" I broke my stalker gaze from Raiden and turned to Stacey.

"Hmmm, you were calling me?" I asked a bit dazed.

Stacey chuckled at this but continued, "I was asking how did you accidentally flashed Raiden."

I groaned at that, that day was very embarrassing, we weren't even friends when that happened.

"Why should I tell you then?" I asked because I really didn't want to relive that memory.

"Fine, I'll tell them," Raiden said while smirking at me, oh gosh no.

"Well I actually believe that she did it on purpose since she had a crush on me," he started, and I punched him.

"That is not true, it was an accident and why would I have a crush on my best friend's older brother, you were sixteen, three years older than me, please," I said while rolling my eyes.

"Well you tell it then," he challenged me, I gazed into his chocolate eyes and caved, damn those eyes.

"Fine, so it was the middle of summer and I was walking to their house........" I started.

FLASHBACK:

I checked my phone again as I got another message from my mom, she was checking up on me since I was walking to Cindy's house after dance practice. I replied telling her that I'm almost there and shoved my phone back into my pocket.

I was humming Demi's song "Me, Myself and Time" when a car sped by and soaked me to the bone with the water that was there since rain fell earlier. I was shocked that I didn't see the puddle or heard the car. When I got out of my daze, I saw that the car reversed towards me, probably to apologize.

I turned to see the window of the driver go down and heard laughter. It was Samantha and her witchy friends, they hated me since I replaced her on the dance team as captain. The driver smiled sadly at me, his eyes apologizing for what he did, and I nodded at him before he drove off.

I looked down to see that my white shirt was dirty from the water, luckily, I was close to Cindy's, so I could shower there. I quickened my pace and got to her house in five minutes, I unlocked the door and called out to her but no reply. I walked up the stairs to her room and saw her practising her makeup.

"I'm gonna take a shower okay," I told her while grabbing some sweats and a towel from her, she nodded and then cursed as she poked her eyeball with her eyeliner. I giggled at this before I remembered why my clothes were filthy.

I was fuming so much that I didn't hear the shower running when I walked into the bathroom. I mumbling to myself about Samantha when I started to undress. I had just pulled off my now brown shirt along with my sports bra when I heard a scream.

I turned around so quickly forgetting that I was half naked to see Raiden, Cindy's older brother in the shower.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" He asked before his eyes went down, I followed his gaze and screamed. I turned around so quickly while putting the towel around my upper body.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to look, ummm, can you pass me the towel next to the sink please,' he said.

I turned around grabbed the towel and chucked it at him before turning back around. Why me? Of all people why me? Gosh, this is so embarrassing!

"Kristina, you can turn around," he said, and I did.

He was standing there with the towel around his lower half and he was holding it tightly. I gulped and opened my mouth, but nothing came out.

I tried again, "I'm sorry, I didn't hear the shower and the door wasn't locked, I didn't see anything," I said quickly, wishing that he could say the same to me.

I glanced at him, he was looking at everywhere but me while rubbing his neck.

"Well if you're finished, can I," I said while motioning to the shower.

"Right, umm bye," he said and dashed out of the bathroom.

I locked the door and removed the rest of my clothes before entering the shower and taking a long time.

End of Flashback

I glanced at my friends, they were trying hard to not laugh but they gave in.

"He....laugh.... saw.... laugh.... your.... laugh.......b***s......." Stacey said in between her laughter.

I scowled at them, "Okay, can you stop now?" I pleaded, feeling my face heat up from the embarrassment.

"Okay, okay, did you at least return the favour Raiden?"Josh asked, and I choked on my spit.

"What the hell Josh, why would he do that," I replied.

" I tried to, but she kept telling me no," Raiden said and they continued to laugh at me.

"I didn't want to be scared for life, so I said no, I was thirteen guys," I said to them and their laughter reduced.

"Okay so I accidentally flashed him, every time I went to their house, he tried to avoid staring at me but failed sometimes. I finally accepted what happened and we talked it over laughed at what happened, and became best friends after that." I said while smiling at Raiden, he returned it before saying.

"Well, of course, I would befriend a girl with a really nice rack," He joked, and my friends burst out in laughter again.

I glared at him, he just smirked at me before winking.

Oh, he was so gonna pay for that.
