What it feels like to fly.

What it feels like to fly.

A Poem by Kat Leigh
"

My father just died...yesterday...I wrote this in semi-honor of him. More or less of how I feel about his death, and the feeling it brought to me.

"

You know that weighted feeling when you close your eyes?
You know that weightless feeling when you fly?
That’s what it feels like when someone dies.

All you want to do is find a dark hole.
Curl up and become a mole.
Try and release the dark in your soul.

You bury secrets deep.
Trying with all your might to keep
Until you collapse and begin to weep.

Tossing and turning
The hatred is burning
But you’re still learning.

You realize it was all a lie
You really couldn’t fly
But people really die.
