Drink to Freedom

Drink to Freedom

A Poem by Catrin Gold

Fleeting fancies of lucid dreams
hang on the edge, torn at the seams.
Drink up my love, it's all for you.
It'll only poison if you want it to.
And with but a wish you'll stop my heart.
Leave it now to fall apart,
and unravel in my mind,
leaving you to fall behind.
But one day you'll return to me,
Drink again and set me free.
