Within and Without

Within and Without

A Poem by Rebel Manikin

This power inside is powered from without
So many are unable
To slake the thirst

This fire within is fueled from without
So many eagerly deny
What this life is about

This love within is created without
So many dance with thought
Just to befriend its doubt

This passion within flows from without
So many look to know its true desire,
Though rarely seek it out

This you within accompanies you without
So many hollow men live
Without their spirits sound

Again, such truth to live by. Your pen knows well of our being, and it's mechanics.

Within your writing, it shows of beauty. Without my great use of words, you've showed me how through your poem. Another great poem I've read today, which is not easy to find nowadays. In this poem and in my opinion, the message is flowing on the surface, yet, there are more to be explored within it. Very thoughtful to me, and I really enjoy every word of it.

Thank you for sharing over this site. Please keep up the good work :) Will read more of your work soon.

with all Sincerity i have to say, though beautiful and potent both emotionally and visually, in spite of its simplicity. Beautiful as always, well written:)

I love this Sincerity. I am sorta tired tonight and I just am enjoying my friends works, but I have to make one quick comment..."So many seem to tango with thought to befriend its doubt"...I wish I had written that! :) You are a wonderfully talented artist, thanks for sharing, t.
