Over-self Whole

Over-self Whole

A Poem by Rebel Manikin

Deeper this fire burns.

The soul cries and over-self smiles.

Through the hearts working, twisting and turning this spirit churns. This mind in me, this side of me eternally yearns, seeking to be whole, releasing song after song as I dream and unfold;a Long lost substance returning. The eye in my mind learning; my precious insignificance, my duty to that which is infinite. My gifts to see, to

to see, to taste, to smell, to hear and to touch this existence,my nature’s ability to love, to enjoy, to strive and to envision.

Here I am opened wide to silently receive, seeking the voice of righteous to rise from beneath. Soldier for the almighty caught in a euphoric tide, walking, frightened, led blindly by some guiding hand, steering my subconscious, absorbing, preying, to intently witness  complexity lived in truth at its simplest. Weights of countless burdens lifted, alleviation of stress.

This, the spiritual connections which our temples represent.

I love the poem overall:) I actually think this would work better as a small paragraph, if youre going for a rushed, swirling, brainstormy feeling, because the lines sound fast and flowing and fluid but the line breaks make it choppy, though they flow well themselves.

With that aside, BEAUTIFUL write, and its so true to you, so original and full of self, you poured yourself into it and it shows. Very thought provoking and beautiful, as always. Welcome back, again
