Precious Life

A girl from my church/grade decided to end her life last night and it was really laid on my heart to write a poem for her. I didn't "really" know her but the pain is still there :(

You left this world and took your life

With a slash of a sharp "knife"

 

You will be missed

Because of a slit on your wrist

 

Your life was precious

A gift from God

You have prayers from abroad

 

It didn't have to be this way

You could have sat and quietly prayed

 

Yet you ended it anyway

 

People shed tears from the thought of not having you near

 

You are with Jesus as anyone can see but you left an impact on my friends and me

ohhhhhhhh :( feel sad for you and it is normal like sometimes you find yourself being hurt by someone's passing who you didnt know more than that you knew from A to Z.
nice dedication, if only she was still alive or in a coma to read this, she might have completely changed course of her fate.

This poem is very moving. Whenever somebody around us commits suicide, it always affects us, even if we didnt actually know the person. I'm sorry for your loss.

It is never easy when you lose someone, even if you didn't know them well. Everyone makes an impact on someone else, whether you know it or not. Thank you for sharing this piece Lillie. You wrote it well and I am sure the girl you wrote it for appreciates it even though she is no longer here.

I am not sure why she ended it :(
I'm kind of frustrated because someone told me that she isn't in heaven because Suicide sends you straight to Hell... I don't get that lol

We don't decide that, only God knows what was in her heart. We can't say who makes it or not...we can only hope for the best. And hopefully people can learn from this to better connect with people and such. God has a reason for everything even if we don't understand it.
