My Wall and TowerA Poem by StayAnchoredThis poem is about giving your head to God to guard instead of letting some "evil and jaded guy" in :)
Tearing down my safety wall
I watch it crumble, I watch it fall I had built it up and guarded it well It had a system of security bells To give me notice of an intruder, Who trespassed my heart from the very start He broke in and ripped it down My wall inside that was built on pride I was hurt by you and it scarred me for life I thought I would one day be your wife All the pain you brought to me Made me realize we weren't meant to be I rebuilt my tower and rebuilt my wall So they would stand proud and tall I gave my King the key to my heart I should have given it to him from the start He loves me and made me He is my true love He will always be enough He will live in my tower till my last, final hour © 2013 StayAnchoredReviews
