jealous

jealous

A Poem by Pia Van Ravestein
"

part of the 'coupling' series

"

jealous

the curve

as if the wind would hold you

up in the moon’s embrace.

you unfurl,

silver nacre falls down

in a single rain

i can taste the salts on your tongue

soft tender gentle once

a sea and

your spindly fingers

hold the stars in chip-chapped

nails and sparks of shooting stars

in the filaments of your hair

as a moon caresses you there.
