something for dummies

something for dummies

A Poem by Pia Van Ravestein
"

part of the 'cephalopod' series.

"

something for dummies

she sculptures poetry

that does not

shatter

explode

and looks

as she intended.

I leave

white spaces,

geometric

nonsense,

clunks

and ugly waters

that spill

acrid from

my breasts

my sculptures are

a snarge of glomus clays

containing insidious bubbles

to crack and shatter

in the pregnant kiln.

she says,

‘you should never have started

that arts degree.

you should have stayed in retail.’
