The Fantastical Youth and Letting It GoA Poem by Raven WyntermoonReminisce me as you learn to let go Hopeful flights but now you don’t know Invincible I was, so boundless and free My actions took shapes in parts of three Fearless I was with no precautions to aid Compact strength full on renegade Resistance to all that try to maintain the systematic codes of a society in chains Farewell is far from where I’ll be In times of need, you will need me My strength, my valor, my armored coat My breath will be your endless float I rose at dawn when light hit your eyes And I will set at dusk when you lay down to die Embrace me once, reject me twice I am your ultimate sacrifice You searched for me through myths and serums Your memories of me was a high on delirium Now your time has taken its place Through the lines and wrinkles on your face And you search for me to live again But death will always be our end. © 2016 Raven WyntermoonReviews
