The Reckoning

The Reckoning

A Poem by Raven Wyntermoon

can't help but think about the wonders of the world

sashaying around like a prancing girl

believes what you've heard and believes what you've been told

blinders cover your eyes like a sultry center fold

guilt alone does not substitute redemption

nor does the education of one generation

experience like beauty is in the eye of the beholder

wisdom is aged not by getting older

hinder yourself before it's too late

or bound yourself like dogs in crates.

Powerful use of words.
"believes what you've heard and believes what you've been told
blinders cover your eyes like a sultry center fold
guilt alone does not substitute redemption
nor does the education of one generation"
The above lines. Great wisdom told. We must seek real answer and pay attention to naysayers. But don't believe every word. Thank you Raven for sharing the excellent poetry. You made me think this morning.

Different stages of life an extremely great message and well written. I really like the message entwined in the last 3 lines.
