Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by Madison

Darkness is loneliness.
It’s being surrounded by people, but you are lonely.

Darkness is a heavy burden.
It’s feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.

Darkness is suffocation.
It’s that moment where you feel like you’re already six feet under,

Darkness is blindness.
It’s being surrounded by color and light, and seeing nothing.

Darkness is feeling invisible.
I am here, out in the open, but nobody sees me.

Darkness is silence.
I’m listening to you, but I don’t hear anything.

Darkness is just that.
It’s darkness.

I'm a somewhat nice person. I tend to be a loner. I like to be by myself. I like to listen to music because it blocks everyone out. I don't like opening up to anyone. Favorite Color: Purple My Hob.. more..
