Broken Spirit

Broken Spirit

A Poem by Madison

Alone I sit here,
Empty and cold.

The light beckons me,
It forces me to be ok.

Hidden away, my feelings are,
Showing no emotion is how I am.

I have to fight to be alive,
I have to pretend to care.

The world crushed my dream,
Yet it forces me to be.

I once was Alive,
Now I just survive.

The emotion embedded within every word is very strong and needs very little explanation. You were able to capture solemnity with shallow breaths and whispers that only those who have experienced this very thing can hear. Very well done. I love it.

You're very welcome, Madison. There is such great talent on here.
You will love again. Remember that once one door closes God opens another.

The world can only crush what we allow it to.Society does not dictate your life though They think they do.Believe and have confidence in yourself but put God out front and your dreams can be achieved through unwavering faith

I'm a somewhat nice person. I tend to be a loner. I like to be by myself. I like to listen to music because it blocks everyone out. I don't like opening up to anyone. Favorite Color: Purple My Hob.. more..
