Stomped Flower

Stomped Flower

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

Hostile type litters columns
Errors made are errors justified
Riddles parade a devastated avenue
Belittled statements exploit a festered mind
Opinions saturate commitment
Tested tolerance will separate solace
Tomorrow’s vengeance fashions today
Ugly thoughts deprive conviction
Many canyons crumble in its challenge
Love never touches demanding lips
Endless revenge seizes possibility
Stubborn dilemmas snatch happiness
Suffer a new day in a new way
Somewhere forgiveness struggles
Pick a moment to repent
Ignore the precision and providence blackens
Topple faded loss
Events of manipulation chocked prosperity
Sacrificed morals sulk
Hated victims bore pain
Invade apocalypse
Salvage state
Evidence slouches toward Bethlehem
Vicious spawn raise hopeless treasures
Illness mourns meaning
Leave innocence resting

Her bottumless spites his evil (almost an acrostic unless I spelt this wrong lol )

A very powerful and deep write, the comments made on modern man and the way in which the world justifies it's sins and raping of our mother planet. I love the line ~
Evidence slouches towards Bethlehem ~ you have such an eye for the truths of today, keep em' coming
