Unfilled Ambitions

Unfilled Ambitions

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

Restless dreams stretch malignant wings
Feathers sweep against my ruins
Season carols encumber infinite blue
The cancer that binds them cultivates

In void depths, obscurity sires rumor
Limestone stars fish a rusty ocean
Diminutive members embed in fruitless fissures
What ruptures in fate’s attendance will never recover

Evil against evil
A fragmented soul generates such fragments
Restrained manifestation enumerates anamneses
Crescent-shaped rifts solicit austere inceptions

Clandestine affairs stipulate expectation
Executed expeditions discharge casual exposures
Myriad maestros confiscate dominance
Forever an acid punk defies commandment

All waits for a solitary gesticulation
One presupposes it comes with supremacy
Another assures exquisiteness and assets
For the fallen one none of it matters
