A Harrowing Fate

Slipping into a black hole

Of my own misfortune while hope for utopia denigrates 

And becomes nothing more than a dying dream

 

Rotting sinew amongst discoloration

Is a crime nature commits to remind me

That one day my end will come…

…my turn is inevitable

 

Now at the edge

The vast darkness below preserves its invitation

Though I know not what lies in its depths

I can envision a place better than this

For nothing could be more harrowing

Than a world of forgotten words

And hidden agendas

 

I am truly married to darkness;

An incessant unholy ceremony

Forever showcasing insolvency and desolation
