Villainous Catastrophe

Villainous Catastrophe

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

Villainous Catastrophe

Caught by a razor’s edge

Sorrow is another bitter pill

That pollutes my entity

As steel reflects sixty watts

And summons red streams

I do not pray for tomorrow

Since the insecurity of a God

Has exiled my beliefs

And cast my hopes

Into Hell

And so here I reside

A hemorrhaging miscarriage

Of even the most mundane circumstance

And disremembered silhouette never to be acquainted with victory
