Charming Withered Memories

Charming Withered Memories

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

Answering savagery never seemed so daunting yet as I sat in the shadows of my own mind I harvested a greater haunting

Through shattered realization stumbled sorrow as change won't come tomorrow

Nor will the end for a twisted friend as it assaults humanity and sanity

There is no need to pretend that the nightmares aren't getting stronger

And with every breath I take I wonder when will peace wake
