symphony of discord

symphony of discord

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

Scarred landscape pitched near cerulean divisions…

… as torment surges like fiery lead…

…over and around cotton that consumes as much as it can before succumbing to it,

coffins decorate scorched shores.

Through muddy heavens on gallant black steeds rides four

Bodies stacked like cordwood…

…ashes falling like rain…

…pain playing a symphony of discord,

time is up for mankind

Very well written. Its as if you're walking straight into an apocolpyse and seeing it unfold. You see the landscape in the aftermath of it. Coffins on shores for the dead corpses of the human beings that didnt leave when they had the chance. The four horsemen riding throughout the waistland and seeing the destruction of their own darkness. More corpses not knowing how many have died. Ashes falling from the sky as we continue to see the four horsemen as they ride to the end of the earth. Time is definetly up for mankind. Overall very well written and Impressive work.

this is such a descriptive way to describe war! this reminds me of "The Red Badge of Courage", with its wonderfully penned descriptions on gruesome things as well
