My Self Assassination

My Self Assassination

A Poem by Raven Starhawk

From the opaque reserves of my character

I delay leaving self-abhorrence

Merely to apprehend I am unaccompanied

And permanently despondent in the verity

I am an unqualified malfunction

And need to breathe my last breath

Like a despicable syndrome

Because subsequent to this problematical exertion

I have naught to demonstrate on behalf of it

And there is no assistance

I comprehend I have no aptitude

I appreciate I have no raison d'être

This poem has touched me in every possible way. I am astonished by the brilliance of your vocabulary, and how it really makes you think, and that despondent mood was beautifully portrayed with the most elaborate details. I think you have succeeded in not just pouring your heart out, but touching other people's hearts as well, in the process. This is just mind blowing. Goes right to my favorites.

Very very complex ( I had to look up so many of the words) but so intricately and poetically crafted. Beautiful writing

Such superb vocabulary and immense phrasing to use for your self-assassination! Maybe this is written tongue in cheek, maybe seriously with furrowed brows.. whichever, it has direct route to your final line. That 'unqualified malfunction; is, my dear absolute twaddle .. hope we can still be friends in spite of my insistence! :)
