No Hope Under The Orchid Tree

No Hope Under The Orchid Tree

A Poem by Raven Starhawk
"

This was composed while I slipped into my character Echo from my story "Echo's Haven".

"
Through my fingers the red river flows as his legion grows

Upon midnight's call I huddle and shutter against this wall

But the faces pressing from within
Remind me of humanity's sin

And although I can cease the voices in my head
I know one day I will walk among the dead

Your imagery always paints unique pictures, intense and purposeful. Excellent Raven. You ability to compose imagery and through your words evoke many feelings from the reader is outstanding.

This is very creative and I think describes the desperation of the creative mind.
