Quiet PlacesA Poem by Eager to LearnA place that brought me peace, and it is now being destroyed
A place, nestled in the corner of my home
A place, with wonders forbidden to me Skeletons of my families legacy buried ivory frames that gift me the marrow from their past A place, regarded to "dangerous" for a child A place, deemed " Privileged" and not for my eyes The dark of this room, the sepulture for dead memories Giving me light and life in my musings. A place, My sanctuary, in which I gladly locked myself A place, sut off from the living world below My mind keeping me in the void in silence transforming into my Claude Frollo A place, that is now in jeopardy A place, I'm helping to destroy. the tables are to be cleared and the contents to be burned A place, I can't leave behind A place, that holds so much power on me It holds some of the last glimpses of my imprinted father parchments and pictures that still hold him to me. I can't loose him again.
