The Words

poem i wrote :3

These three words I'm scared to say

Love to haunt me day by day

These three words I'm scared to use

Ignite my feelings like a fuse

These three words I'm scared you'll say

Make me want to run away

All the things you say and do

Make me want to be with you

Seeing you is all worth while

Until my feelings are set to trial

I plead this truth

It is in my youth

Because youth is like an endless sea

Full of all my memories

All my memories are full of tears

From all of those lonely years

The one time you heard me crying

Was when I felt I should be dying

It doesn’t matter what I do 

Because words can't explain what I feel for you

So I lay here in my bed

Heart broke and full of dread

I'd rather be some other place

To catch a glimpse of your smiling face

I want to sit here and just cry

But it seems my eyes are dry

I don't feel guilt

As those flowers wilt

I am so distracted

By the way you acted

I see you and begin to blush

I told you it was a simple crush

I know I shouldn’t have

I wish I wouldn’t have

I hate that I covered it up with a lie

Again I feel I want to cry

Why is it I feel so sorrowed?

Because it's my heart you have borrowed

You've taken everything without remorse

I feel like cattle astray from its course

I've wandered to a riverbed

It was my heart which hath lead

You've taken my feelings without thanks

And now we sit on opposite banks

You took what i gave

I need to be saved

My feelings are blossoming

The others are gossiping

You are with the rest of the world

All of my thoughts are beginning to swirl

I am alone without you

Though I begin to doubt you

I'm mad at myself

Because my heart is in stealth

How can you see

All the good in me

 

When I’m haunted by the words
