Chapter 1 cursed present day

 My mother was  obsessed with murder. We all thought this was because her best friend Jane had been brutally killed and the murderer never caught. Since then she has devoted herself to putting killers in prison.. She had also looked into her friend  Jane's murder. The thing is there has never been another like it. She was nearly disemboweled blood everywhere, four long slash marks all down her body and the massage scratched into the wall is what made it so odd. The message said “ The horror within has become the horror without  beware”. My mom of course looked into what it meant and found this thing on this practically ancient old curse that was like if you started making up fake horrors they would become wilder and wilder and more dangerous . Then it came out of you and attacked you so it would not be destroyed if you overcame the power of the curse, because once you were dead it was no longer tied to you it could roam free doing what it pleased.  At least it was something like that. My mom brought that to attention but to me it just sounds like someone's idea of a sick joke. Like a murderous nerd or something. No matter why my mom is obsessed with murder.

 Then when we are watching the news during breakfast and it tells about someone having been killed almost the same way Jane died she nearly flips the table. The person on the tv is saying they had to long slash marks horizontally across his chest. “ His ribs have been crushed and the lugs punctured. This may have been the cause of death but so could the slash marks more later on the noon news”.  Then it was on to the weather report but that was interrupted a few minutes later by more news. Breaking news the screen said at the bottom. ‘ A message from the killer has been found. Could this be connected to the murder of Jane Wright all those years ago, for this is a similar message we seem to be seeing here on the ground. ''  At that my mom really did flip the table. “ The message said “ beware false horror for it may be real horror watch your back the curse is here beware”.” said the reporter .if anyone has any idea what this  means please come forward so we can stop this killer once and for all.. The tv switched back to whether. My mom went over to the counter and picked up her phone and began dialing a number. It was the news team. She was telling them about the curse she had discovered  nearly ten years ago when looking into Jane's death.. So I guess there was no way my family would stay out of this murder. That the problem with a murder obsessed parent is you always get dragged into things that you would rather stay out of.
