Improve Your Learning Habits

Improve Your Learning Habits

A Poem by M.A.Rathore
"

Being most creative person a man should be movitated for his latent soul to be grow.

"
Does man learn in mother's womb?
Learning is a general process for all,
While he does something in a way
To achieve his so long desired goal.

Heredity provides you some more
Chances to grow in the world wide,
As you observed your fore-fathers
While doing their jobs with pride.

Mother being the first teacher
Teaches her lessons to her child,
Using all the most tender ways
Producing lulls making him mild.

Turning to your divine teacher
Who sacrifices all without a shout,
By bit and bit he develops all
Latent abilities bringing them out.

His sole aim is to teach you
All the urgent to be a gentleman,
How you behave in your life
And how will you receive or gain?

Even a fool can learn to be wise
Applying his natural master skill,
Do not neglect the slow learners
Some day they will grow as a hill.

Gentlemen are slow learners
Mostly in their early tender prime,
But by practising their inner soul
Become more simple and sublime.

So friends, still you have time
To improve your learning habits,
For the process will never end
While deciding your future profits.

Indeed we do not all grow at the same rate, I too suffered as a child for slow learning, my sin was 'Asperger's syndrome' it still follows me today but i have overcome it somewhat, purely by age i think lol, your poem carries a strong message for us all and certainly the world would benefit from practising their inner soul, a powerful poem M.A. :)

Learning is a complex process, and being a psychology student I know that quite well :-P Anyway, your open is unique, in its subject matter and you have described things well. Ending is the best.

The question in first stanza is ironic. Well, you deployed such good imagery and words in this poem that I'm impressed! The moral in last stanza is excellently written in a short form... the reader is made to think that if he is having some bad habits, he should change them and now!!! Mother is like god, as your poem gives a message about the importance of mother in development of child...Thanks for sharing this.. well done!

It's fine and good advice but it keeps the reader at a distance. Try to be more open and do expose the goals you wish to achieve.

I like this poem, particularly the first line, as it hints as to what the poem will be about, quite a rarely written topic, but a realistic and true one, nonetheless. Keep writing!
