The Way of the niNja

A Story by Adrian Eledge

A story I'm working on that I'll update based on the computer game: N. Also, imagining a movie, I put in songs that I thought might fit in a movie.

The Way of The niNja: Episode 00

“N… that’s what he’s called now?” asked Adrian Eledge, the head of Eledge INC: A company that specializes in new modern technology.

“I guess so, Mr. Eledge. Now, how come every time this N shows up somewhere, you are nowhere to be seen?” questioned Takinama Lee.

“What?!!?” Adrian laughed, “Do you think I’m N?!!!?”

“We thought it was a possibility.”

“No way, I just want to be somewhere safe! I am a coward, you know.”

“I’m sure, I’ll tell the others”

Riiiiiiing!!!! Adrian’s pager went off. It read: Two armed robbers at the East Bank Services Building.

“Gotta go, family emergency,” Adrian spoke out.

“Of course, I will leave,” Takinama announced.

At the East Bank Services Building a dark figure darted at two robbers. It took out to Sidearm Scythes and sliced the guns in two. Then, it grabbed a robber and stuck one of the scythes in his face.

“Who do you work for?!!?” the thing yelled out.

When he didn’t answer, the thing threw him through a window.

The other robber ran for it. The figure used a grapple attached to his belt to grapple to the robber’s feet, and pulled. WHAP! The robber fell to the floor. Outside the police pulled up. Once they got inside, the two criminals where hanging from the ceiling. The figure was nowhere to be seen.

That figure was the one known as N...

The next day Adrian was in his main office looking out of the full wall window. He sighed. Bzzzzzzzzztttt!

“Come in!” He yelled out.

An old man walked in. His beard touched his 100% cotton Black Belt. His blue robes draped on the floor. He was Shimera Lin nicknamed: Merlin.

“Sense?” Adrian was confused, “What’s wrong?”

“Adrian, my son, we are in great danger,” Merlin announced, “I will explain: Long ago before time began there was the Sphere. It was called The Orb of N. I know not where it comes from but what it does. It creates armies, and that’s how technology became. That orb was lost and was found here on Earth. Technology was brought to our planet, but soon fell into the wrong hands of someone who absorbed its energy and is using it or evil. You must find this person and kill them.”

“But who is he?” Adrian wondered.

“I don’t know, but, the way of the ninja is the right path to take.”

“If mankind only knew what mess that orb has created”

The Way of the niNja: Episode 01

Adrian stood in front of the library. He clenched his fists. Thoughts about what happened there long ago...

January 14, 1993 Adrian was 19. He was at the library in the History section. Two jocks came up and noticed him.

“Hey nerd!” One yelled. Adrian stood there.

They stood around him. Adrian, not knowing what to do in this kind of situation, stuck his hands up and leaned against the bookshelf facing the jocks.

Something happened… Adrian’s hand touched the thick book about Ninjitsu and it electrocuted him.

“Ow!” he yelped.

One jock punched him. Adrian stared at him with anger in his eyes. He jumped up and wall jumped on the bookshelves then kicked the two insulters in their heads. After that he slammed them into the wall nearby.

“Leave me be!” He screamed

The bullies ran, crying.

He went back and grabbed the book, it read: The Way of the Ninja by Shimera Lin.

Adrian ran home with the book. He reached his street.

“Dad!!!!” He screamed out excitedly.

He finally got to his house and stopped. There was an ambulance and two police cars. In the yard was a chalk outline of a body. Adrian walked up to the ambulance and opened the back doors.

“Hey!” the nurse yelled.

“That’s my dad!” screamed Adrian in tears. He jumped in and hugged the motionless father, “What happened?”

“Some lunatic came up to him just as he was getting home, I guess, and shot him… Listen, I’m sorry…” The nurse explained.

Adrian went inside and laid there on the couch. He got an idea.

Adrian went in his father’s room and grabbed his nun chucks and took only the handles. He went downstairs and grabbed the blades from two long butcher knives and glued them in the handles.

“Ready,” he said.

What happened next took only 2 hours, and in that time he found, killed, and got rid of his father’s killer. He also needed money to live by himself…

The next day he saw an ad in the paper for an ATV race: First Prize- $3000 and an ATV, ATV’s included. It sounded good to him so he bought gear. All black gear, but with a bright, white visor.

The race began and Adrian Zoomed out and got the Hotshot $200 bonus. Another rider outran him but he caught up. The rider punched Adrian’s helmet, his hand ached. Adrian zoomed out and eventually past the finish line. SCREEECH!!!! He stopped quickly and jumped and somersaulted in the air. He now has $3247, it’s a good start.

Adrian went home and looked at his armor…

He thought that he could use his powers for good, not revenge. Soon, he was redesigning his gear.

From then on, he was N.

The Way of the niNja: Episode 02

Adrian woke up in a chair inside the library. When he sat up, a page peeled of his face. The library was dark, very dark, his watch read 10:43 pm. He noticed that he was in the back corner of the top floor of the library.

“Great!” He whispered.

He stood up at a familiar sound: a voice, the voice of Takinama Lee: “Now, what do I want to do to this place?” Then he noticed the glare of a flashlight pass right on him, then, it quickly moved back, but this time Adrian wasn’t there.

Once Adrian thought he was out of sight, he dropped from the ceiling. He heard a strange sound of a triple beep. Then he looked:

“Holy …” Zoooooooooooooo! He jumped right over it and landed safely. Then he heard a sound like a gattling gun charging up, well, it was just that! Then it shot bullets straight at him, the flashes alerted Takinama. Takinama escaped quickly, as if he expected something to go wrong.

Adrian took a quick way out, acted casual and ran towards Takinama.

“Mr. Lee! What are you doing here?” Adrian asked, like nothing happened, “I was next door to the library and heard gunfire! Do you know what’s going on?”

“Don’t play games with me, Mr. Eledge! I saw you in there!”

Adrian got closed and whispered angrily, “I didn’t choose to be in there! But, let me ask you, what the HECK where you doing in there!?! Think about that!”

Takinama hailed a cab and left… whth haste… needing to be somewhere and fast… with vital… information…

Adrian walked in the room that held Merlin. He took a drink of water from the plastic bottle in his hand, “I have one lead on our mystery man.”

“Who?” asked Shimera Lin.

“Takinama Lee, I fell asleep in the library last night, apparently they don’t have enough energy to hire a guard. Anyways, I woke up and heard Takinama’s voice-“and on Adrian went.

This was a good start but the journey has only begun… The mystery still is unfolding slowly, but surley.
