Whispers In My HeadA Poem by JenessaToo many of us understand loneliness.
Alone
I hear the silent whispering Of thoughts come unbidden Secret caresses Of suppressed desires Voices of willfully forgotten things They tell me what I should have been What I could have changed What-ifs fill the empty air Where other voices should have been I have no friends to confide in No sympathetic ear I can't abide the loneliness It strangles out my voice Crippled of my will to speak I can't find anyone who will listen Lost in the tempest Of thoughts I can't control I begin to understand I can't change anything at all © 2010 JenessaAuthor's Note
