While i breathe i hopeA Poem by Chamakti kiran
While i breathe i hope
More and more girls would survive Not only survive but also they would rise high Every woman under the sun Mother, sister or wife Would get utmost respect And not become a matter of pun While i breathe i hope Boys would really modernise, Would change their chauvinist attitude and Sharing household chores would be their aptitude While i breathe i hope Youth would realise their potential Corruption would be kicked off And honesty would become their credential They would say no to drugs The lost values, once again, would be hugged While I breathe I hope The air would become pure again For this every human would take lot of pain To protect nature, to protect our earth each one of us would shed greed And become sane While i breathe i hope Policies like reservation would be quashed On the basis of castes People, no more would clash While i breathe i hope My country would again become my motherland Everyone would live here without fear Happiness would become order of the day And noone would ever shed a tear. © 2018 Chamakti kiran |
