Chapter 1:
The misunderstanding
Taylor’s P.O.V.

I felt the rain splash into my hair, the wind blew heavily pushing me back I stammer forward just trying to get home after that accident at the party.I just wish it didn’t happen. I got to my house my face flushed everyone was still asleep just as I left it I ran up to my room closed the door and threw my head into my pillow warm tears soaking it as I cried. I hear a noise from the window, But ignore it just wanting this day to end.

“I am sorry about the party, are you okay?” I hear a familiar, deep echoing voice from behind me. I gasp but am stopped by a kiss from my boyfriend Jay. He wiped my tears as they rolled down my cheeks, his hands freezing to the touch.

“What do you want?” I muttered quietly.

“Taylor, I am sorry I didn’t mean to let that happen I swear I didn’t!” I cut him off.

“I was right there, Jay! I was right there- I saw it okay?! Just leave!” I yelled and he put his hand over my mouth.

“No I only love you Taylor, Please don’t do this to me.” Jay whimpered, thinking as he walked in circles.

“I don’t believe you Jay, you lied to me!” I raised voice again. He put his broad arms around me leaning in to kiss me, but I just pushed him back.

“Fine, I am coming back in the morning though.” He said, kissing my forehead,  I protested.

“Don’t bother.” I said, He vaulted out the window onto the roof of my house. I cried for another long hour before I found myself completely flushed of tears and dozing off to sleep.

I woke up to the soft chirping off birds on a Saturday morning in Stockton, California. Light flashed in a blur I looked around my blue room to see a figure laying asleep on my couch, It was Jay. He probably came back, saw I was asleep and decided to sleep here. I don’t mind usually, he does it a lot but today wasn’t the day. I got up and went in my closet to change into my short sleeve shirt and shorts. I walked back into my room to see Jay smiling sitting on the green couch where he slept.

“I told you not to bother, Jay.” I stumbled around my room.

“I couldn’t resist seeing you, I love you Taylor.” He said pulling himself onto me.

“Please Jay I don’t think we are going to work out.” I said, almost in tears.

“I don’t want us to end like this” He said. So many thoughts going through my head at once. I don’t know what to do I am already regretting my words as I say them.

“It’s over go.” I say,

shrugging as steaming tears drip down both our faces.

“Are you sure there is no way I could...”,

“No.” I said coldly trying to stay strong.

“I love you.” Jay said tears filling his eyes.

“Leave now Jay!” I yelled.

He darted out the window as I collapsed in sorrow. I let tears hit the surface of my floor. The wood stole the water from its exterior quickly as I watched it evaporate. I asked myself Did I do the right thing? Or was I mistaken?

Jay’s P.O.V.
I felt broken hearted as I walked down the littered streets to my apartment. My tears burned as they ran down my cheek. I felt a pain in my chest, the feeling of an empty heart. I hear the movements of someone behind me,  just I don’t bother to check.

“Jay! Jay! please listen I’m sorry!” It was Taylor, Her high pitched voice got louder as she neared me.

“I’ve just had a rough week I didn’t mean it!” Taylor swallowed sharply.

“You’ve caused me enough pain.” I said, walking a little faster.

“Listen to me!” She pushed me against the wall of my apartment building.

“I messed up I didn’t mean to say that!” She explained.

“Do you really love me? Can you show you really love me?” I said before I got what I truly was hoping for. She kissed me giving me the answer to all my questions with that single embrace.

“I forgive you,” I smile slightly. I hold her tight in a hug.

“Never leave me again,” She whispers as her breath causes chills down my spine. She pulled me closer as it got silent for a minute.

“Let’s go inside my love.” I flattered her, bringing her up to my apartment on the 3rd floor. I fiddle my key with the lock to open the door quickly as we walk inside. The main room had a blue couch, a white rug across the hard wood floor and an HD TV on its red stand with the Kitchen next to it.

“Wow, Nice place! Why don’t we ever go here to be together?” Taylor was amazed at the wealth the main room displayed.

“Because your mother thinks we will have sex.” I laughed.

“Yeah that’s my mom for you!” She laughed along with me.

“Want any food? Pizza? Anything?” I played my own 20 questions.

“I’ll take some pizza.” She giggled.

“What’s so funny?” I questioned her laughter.

“You’re acting like I am going to starve!” She laughed stretching out on my couch.

“Okay I am putting it in the oven it’ll been done in 18 minutes.” I said sitting on the couch next to her. I flip on some random movie and sit with her.

“I am still really sorry about last night.” I said, putting myself closer to her as the movie plays.

“It’s fine honey, now why don’t you get that pizza?” She kissed me before I stumble towards the kitchen letting my legs adjust to moving again. I pull the pizza out of the oven and the heat blinds me as I pull it out. The sizzle of the cheese signals her to move in.

“Looking good, babe.” I grin showing my whitish-yellowish teeth.

“Oh shut up and give me a slice.” She smiles at me.

“But this does look good, thank you honey.”

“You are welcome sweetheart.” I grabbed a slice of pizza and sat back down with her. We watched most of the movie but it got boring, I look outside to see it’s getting dark.

“Can I stay here the night? I don’t want to walk home.” She asked.

“Won’t your parents worry love?” I replied, she looked at me surprised that I asked.

“You know I don’t care what my parents think!” She smiled I couldn’t help laugh at the reply.

“But they will kill you!” I said.

“I bet you just don’t want me here!” she said jokingly.

“Fine, you can stay just tell your mom and dad you were at Sarah or Jade’s house- not mine!” I said and she pulled me into a hug as an intense shiver of warmth went down my back I held her close for a minute, but she soon pulled away and I released her.

“Where will I be sleeping?” She asked me.

“Later sweet heart, later.” I kissed her forehead, she smiled.

“Okay, your bed then.” She grinned, Her teeth shinned a nice white.

“Maybe.” I joked.

We continued eating and watching movies but soon after the third movie she fell asleep with her head in my lap. I smiled at her sleeping peacefully. Yesterday I was afraid of her waking up, today is different. I finished the last movie around 3 am. I picked her up, her long shining brown hair tangled in my hand as I carried her to my room, I softly put her down in my bed and stood over her momentarily I smiled again at her, The pillow molded to the shape of her smooth, delicate head. I walked into the living room and laid down on the couch to sleep.

“Good night, my only love.” I whispered to myself.
“Good night.”
