Little Slice of HeavenA Poem by Laurence BellingerI hope im not too early when i meet you Heaven Though it's been troublesome Trying to seek you I sense a promise of a great tomorrow, But at one time I lost faith within your words- So just in due time, You saved me! A lost soul Like angels with no direction Demons from my subconscious regions Lasting image My mom's deceased... Not saying i prayed to you But you blessed me regardless Sometimes i laid on you And let your words take harvest Plus every fruit from that tree Was very edible Nothing forbidden Your words i ingested Slithered down my body like Like snakes to a den- Would be foolish to pretend... That i haven't invested in you Your worth bought me out of the pain of my tormented brain... Heaven! May the clouds part as I look upon your cosmos This earth i travel patiently Telling whomever on your arrival You were apart of my survival On this quest to find truth I have researched synagogues Churches Corners And a booth But the proof Is concrete Even at nights that i don't look at you... Talking through space Electrons gather my mental impulses So when it reaches heaven I am receiving my heavenly noise A tone dialed to my heart Wirelessy from the subscriber- But let me say this... And even if heaven is a myth My time having faith in you was a gift So i hope that what i see And believe to be true Heaven, This mortal man has a crush on you!
