The Little Story

The Little Story

A Poem by .

The books he read me
Made me want to dive and torrent
Why?

You can't help blurting out what you're thinking
You couldn't make out the details
You didn't even notice until you touched them

Smooth and pale like human heads
We lay and wait for you
Ready to pierce your skin
God knows where you came from

What's that youre saying?
I know what you're getting at
I'm not like those young girls
I just love pleasing
And you know what we did?

I ran my finger over the stony bed
And groped in shadowy recesses
Its slippery skin instantly recognizable
The bottom suddenly seemed to come alive

Another deep breath
A stinging blow
Snapping fierce and painful
After that I gave up trying

Fifty years from now
The ugly scar will still be there
On my middle finger
Go on,
Feel it.
