Simple Infinity

Simple Infinity

A Poem by Rapture
"

A poem about the simplicity of love and what it really is.

"
I've found that love is not what you see on TV
Love is not romances that unfold on the movie screens
Love is not fictional nor imaginary nor bewildering
It's simple with traces of believable magic

Because love is something we all can handle
It only takes a small spark to set off a candle
Likewise many of us are not made of wax
But we'll burn anyway, hoping and longing for attention

I've felt that love is not what your friends tell you
They'll share with you experiences they've been through
But you can never imagine their situations
Everyone's love is different and never plays out the same

Because love is just that one little thing
When that someone accidentally grabs your hand
And all you feel is passion and your heartbeat blasting
Inside of your chest, ready to just come out and burst

I know love is when that someone brushes against you
When that someone smiles at you and waves at you
When they go out of their way to think about you
And then they tell everything about their lives to you

And there will be that one day when it collapses
It always does, don't tell yourself any different
The bridge between you and them crashes
Just as your heart will burn to ashes

And that candle of yours will be nothing but a pool
Of hopeless love, unable to move
Because love is forever, but it's simple
Your love with them ends, but you'll always have it in you
