Law

Law

A Poem by [untitled]
"

Im Weary of Such Impositions

"

What is the law and whose law is it? The learned profession that is mastered

by graduate study in a law school and that is responsible for the judicial

the branch of philosophy concerned with the law and the principles that lead

courts to make the decisions they do.

I’m weary of such impositions, not of nature, but that of men, supposing they

have the preeminent in philosophies, and in judicial intercourse.

Away with such preponderance, for man is incapable to delineate between

reason and treason

Awake to truth! And spring up common sense, that it may guide you from your foolish notions.
