My Heart

My Heart

A Poem by [untitled]
"

An Enduring Love

"

I pursue that which touches my heart.

It’s not the exterior beauty that moves me,

for there is no depth.

It’s not the alluring eyes

or lips that burn with lust;

I pursue a loving trust.

The heart of love is so fragile and so kind;

it pursues an enduring love which never fails.

It pursues love after its own kind,

pursues beautiful thoughts

and provokes no lust.

Be not fooled by alluring eyes or lips

that fuel the fire of lust.

Only trust in a heart that has a gentle touch,

which speaks kind words, and provokes

pure loving trust

The meaning and message behind this poem will be lost to those who choose to submit to vanity and the search for aesthetic perfection. Anyone who's truly been in love will see it strait away. Great poem wich give me a warm feeling inside. thank you.
