CHOICES

CHOICES

A Poem by Robert A. Pacheco
"

Well.. This is one of my more inner mindsets. It's like my apologies to everyone.. For doing them wrong at one point or another in my life.

"

CHOICES.

Choices in life you make,

Always offer a give and take.

Whether it be good or bad,

They can make many others sad.

People make choices that they regret,

Thinking of the loved they hurt, they start to fret.

It may seem bad at the time,

But when it happens, they ask themselves why they were so blind.

Wondering why the choices are so hard,

People often feel bad, out of remorse, offering a friendship card.

Why can people hurt others so?

Please don't ask me that... I really don't know.

Sometimes choices are for the best,

Hurting themselves, only to benifit the rest.

People say the choice of love is blind,

I find that so, even in my mind.

I've loved many times,

Making mistakes, and writing lines.

Mixed feelings fall,

Now the choices I've made, to me they call.

My mind is so twisted, so confused,

People I've hurt feel so used.

Feeling all alone, but having much love,

I always think the right answer will come from up above.

In the end, I just have to say,

That I feel so bad for treating others this way.

Author's Note

Robert A. Pacheco
The beginning of this is about people making regretful choices in life. Then, the middle of my poem switches, stating that sometimes choices are for the best. Then I bend it back, in the end, to the choices I've made, the people I've hurt. (I know it's definately a different poem, but I chose this format on purpose.)
