In Loving Memory of a Friend

In Loving Memory of a Friend

A Poem by Robert A. Pacheco
"

I did not write this. Due to the loss of my friend that I've actually met over the internet. We grew close, like brothers, and then suddenly, we both found he had a brain tumor. He knew he was going to die, so he wrote this. Because he cannot write this,

"

In Loving Memory of a Friend

He is my friend, but yet I've not seen him, nor he me,

But even still, when we're together, I feel so free.

Free of thoughts on how to be.

I'd take his fake smile, as he looks at me.

But when I'm with him, this friend of mine,

It's a dying thought...

for him to leave. To go like an eagle,

Fly,

Fly

Into the beautiful blue sky.

One day, time will overcome.

i like it... alot of people don't realize that just by talking on the internet you can grow to "love" someone (not in the lovey dovey I want to throw up way but as a friend) I've met someone that everytime i talk to them it just makes me happy and somehow they always know what to say... Granted they're the people on writerscafe so they know me, you know... the part of me that I've always tried to hide.... Great write! Unfortunatly when it's someones time to leave it's their time to leave....
