Worthy Existence

Worthy Existence

A Poem by Vani Jalagar

Lob the ashes of thy body, into wind,

Let it fall on the land were grains are grown.

Let thy ashes muddle up with compost

Easing the growth of greenery,

Let thy life on earth be worthy.

Fling the ashes of thy body into ocean,

Let it feed the fishes making them healthy,

Assisting the growth of aquatic fauna,

Let the minerals underneath heave its value,

Let thy life on earth be worthy.

Hurl the ashes of thy body into pond,

Let it mingle with the mud, below the water,

Aiding the growth of aquatic flora,

Let the white lotus grow all over the pool.

Let thy life on earth be worthy.

You have found such a graceful way to tell an inspirational tale, showing people how the body is still worthwhile, even after it is no longer of use to its owner. Truly beautiful poem. :)

An inspiring poem, so well crafted with a nature themed message, 'from dust we were made and to dust we shall return' ! So put it to good use as the lines of your poem suggest and I couldn't agree more !

A quality write from your pen, super poem !
