To a Friend

A Poem by Ranger Kessel

i was daydreaming today, and my left arm floated magically away. not a bloody mess or anything. it had rounded, soft edges and just floated away, slightly out of reach but somehow still attainable if i gave a f**k to order it back. i didn't. it dangled around for awhile, then i magically got it back when i snapped out of it. guess all is well that ends well. wish i knew where i was mentally though because i would go back there for a brief vacation. get away from all this feel good happiness stuff i’ve been feeding myself. it's keeping me going, but i don't always know what to do with it.

I suppose when you are daydreaming, half-asleep, seeing your left arm float away doesn't come as a shock, because anything can happen in dreams, or daydreams. Weird can be good, sometimes! An interesting write, for sure!

What an interesting day dream to see your left arm float away like that. Most would find that disturbing, yet you didn't. Perhaps your coping mechanisms are better than you thought. Feel good happiness is important but life isn't always like that. It has its shite moments too. Thanks for the share Ranger.
