Short but powerful! When we witness another persons anger for a wrong we've committed, we feel guilty, saddened by what we have done. Sorry may be one word... but it is an important one to fix hurt feelings and to keep a relationship going. Thanks for sharing!
Interesting metaphors. “haunting my wake” implies death, not literal but guilt as deeply felt as death. The “blooming chords” tells me you are not yet forgiven for the anger still grows.
I've seen that "orchestral fury" from my wife, when she perceives a wrong has been done to her! All part of life's (and love's) rich pageant! Yes, saying sorry can help! Nicely penned!

Not the "thundering velvet hand" sang of by Dan Fogelburg in "Leader of the Band". I think this one might be a bit more accusatory. We wonder what "sad mistake" brought about your demise. Good read. F.
Brevity, but I like it. 'Your orchestral fury is so imaginative. Not only that, a sorry goes a long way. I hope whoever you have upset accepts it. Sometimes the briefest of writes can have most impact.
