A Storm

A Storm

A Poem by Ranger Kessel

Rain falls like tears
from Heaven.
Blurring your face
through misty windows.
Slowing down, your
wavy soul presses
against my face.
Through fog,
trembling hands
wipe away the
pixelated version
of you from
a tired brow.
I become
whole.
Again.
Rain
cradles you.
Until my return.
Counting
droplets slithering
down windows.
Scrubbed away in
furious determination.
Wipers separated
We are never
far apart

This to me seems like an aged man who feels comforted by rain and sits by the window, all fogged up, he presses his face into the window with trembling hands, and that’s how he sees the world, quite sad.
Best, B.
