Lady Godiva

Lady Godiva

A Poem by Ranger Kessel

Lady Godiva was a big ugly w***e.

She spread her rubber legs twice,

and she begged for four more.

Sometimes she thought six would be nice

She strutted around

in black fishnet tights

She whored herself round

all seven day’s nights.

She walked with a wobble

and a jiggly bounce.

She charged by the bobble

sometimes by the ounce.

The whole town it whispers

of how she grew six extra limbs.

How she broke out in blisters

on her private’s red rims.

Not quite the Lady Godiva that the history books taught me about, or the visit to Coventry where her statue is in plain sight for all to see. This Lady Godiva certainly lets the imagination wander like the meanders in a river. More fun from you.

Ranger, I feel like Gomer Pyle reading your poems (if you are young, he was a guy who engaged life but rarely understood it :) ) ... I love your poems though and reading them makes me think and rearrange my thoughts like scrabble tiles and is why I am enjoying them so much. I do not pretend to get them at first pass so will ponder a bit. Yay and yipee that you are on this site! I"ve been floundering here a bit and am happy to see you :)
