Green Melted Crayon

Green Melted Crayon

A Poem by Ranger Kessel

his nose always ran

it was filled up with snot

like a melted green crayon

with a molten red spot

it dripped all day long

and ran under the moon

something was wrong

and quite out of tune

all down his face

were boogers and slime

like they were running a race

with no finish line

they tried to aid

but what could they do

they never did fade

as they dripped on his shoe

they left him no air

as they bubbled and grew

and people would stare

nothing better to do

he tried to swallow

all the boogers and goo

but suffer and wallow

was all he could do

all out of tries

and out of new shoes

he said his goodbyes

and paid his earthly dues.

he passed away

stuck to his chair

with green booger spray

wrapped all round his hair

Funny stuff. Sounds miserable though, especially the whole dying stuck to his chair. What a way to go.

Very interesting indeed. Runny boogers that wont ever quit. It seems as if this poem is about trying to get rid of a problem but having no success.

A problem no one can fix. Thanks for the review.

You are very welcome!
I think the green is metaphorical...representing all he meant to do in his life and didn't...
his regrets ran like a runny nose...
and no matter how hard or often he pushed them away...cleaned them up, they started
all over again. No medicine can cure that.
