When It RainsA Poem by Irish_RangerA poem taken straight from my constantly-running mind, when I find myself alone with the skies falling.I want a woman who could let herself go when it rains. She'd run out into it She would twirl and spin, and she'd laugh There would be joy in her heart While God would shower the both of us with blessings I'd see her in her purest form Somehow more vulnerable, more exposed Than any other time She would be as a child Like the years had washed away And she would invite me to her This woman wants to share her joy with me She wants me to play in the rain with her If I could move, if I could dance like her And look anywhere near as good I'd do that for her. I would be a mirror of her joy She'd see it and be even more thrilled We'd be an unstoppable ball of energy All I can see myself doing is laughing As I do Try to express happiness as only I can, As only I'm allowed Still, her eyes would tell me: She's happy She is pleased And I'd know it and be thrilled I don't need to dance like her We are not each other But we are unified, we're one Two lunatics dancing in the rain Untouchable © 2011 Irish_RangerReviews
